Many cases require OCR to recognize text in image files, such as reading invoices, scanned documents, text from screenshots, etc. To handle these cases, we supported several OCR engines that can be used.
📢 Note: Some of these OCR engines are third-party and might need some settings before use. Please read the user manual and follow the setup steps. Supported OCR Engines in Robotiive:
Default ( Tesseract ): No license required. It’s an open-source OCR engine embedded in Robotiive. The accuracy is lowest compared to Google Vision and Paddle.
Google Vision: API key required, you need to pay and get it yourself.
Paddle: No license required. Please contact our support team to get the setting.
External OCR: External OCR means any OCR engine you own or any OCR engine available online.
